Community Needs

Help Your Neighbors Dealing with Cancer!

Please join us in helping make this difficult time for our Gunnison Valley community members a little easier. Occasionally we receive requests that Gunnison Tough cannot fulfill for local cancer patients or links for GoFundMe campaigns. Our wonderful community might be able to help!

Please check back often and share the requests with your network. Let’s help make these requests a reality!

If you have a request or GoFundMe campaign link for a cancer patient living in the Gunnison Valley, please fill in the Community Needs Request form at the bottom of this page.

Aid Tim’s Battle with Stage IV Prostate Cancer

Tim Skulley has very recently been diagnosed with Stage IV prostate cancer. For those of you who know my dad, he’s been an amazing long-time Gunnison local and amazing chefs at the Quarter Circle restaurant and W Cafe. Medical bills will start pilling up soon, and being on a fixed income at 71.5 years old, the stress of those bills are the last thing my parents need. Any and all funds will go to treatment, medical expenses, and bills to help alleviate financial stress during this battle ahead. Help Tim and his family at Tim’s GoFundMe account.

Meal Train® for The Sudderths

Wesley has been diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL). This will require that they travel to Children’s in Denver for chemotherapy 2-4 days/week for 6 months. Most of the time, either David or Kelly – sometimes both – will travel with him. Caroline and Lilly will always be at home in Gunnison. Kelly will be more free for a little bit after the semester ends at Western May 10th. For now, gift cards at Anejo and City Market would be appreciated.  Donate to The Sudderth’s Meal Train.
