Letter to the Editor:
The Adaptive Sports Center and Tough Enough to Wear Pink would like to give a huge thank you to The Mountain High Music Festival for including us as the charity partners this year. It has been such a privilege to be a part of, and it is the support of events like this one, that enables our organizations to carry out our missions. The Adaptive Sports Center’s mission is to enhance the quality of life of people with disabilities through exceptional outdoor adventure activities, and Tough Enough to Wear Pink’s mission is to provide local funding for breast cancer awareness, prevention, education, support, breast screening and equipment. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this event. No matter how big or small the contribution was to you, it meant the world to us. We would especially like to thank Jenny Knox, the event director, for wearing several hats throughout the planning and implementing of this event and making sure that everything went as smoothly as possible. Kim Rose, the social media director, did an amazing job of making sure everyone was trained in their job duties and that the event had a social media presence. Ross Tunkey, head of security, went above and beyond to make sure that we had a safe and secure event. Thank you to Matti Brown with Blackline Entertainment for all the hard work put in to assure the production of the festival came together wonderfully, and thank you to Eileen DuPre for all your help facilitating the event. To Susie and Dean Dillon, as well as major sponsors such as LMG, BMI, SunTrust, CBMR, Total Wellhead & Rental Tools, HD Radio, the town of Crested Butte, and the town of Mt. Crested Butte — there would be no Mountain High Music Festival without you, and we can’t thank you enough. The artists had such passion for our two organizations, and that passion inspired generous donations — thank you! Last but not least, a special thanks goes out to all of the volunteers. Your selflessness continues to amaze us. We truly appreciate all the hard work that everyone put in to make this event happen, and we are excited to see what will happen with the Mountain High Music Festival in 2016!
